Greenpower F24 Electric Kit Car Sponsors

One of our team members approached us late last year about his daughter's school project to design, build and race an electric car at Lotus' Hethel Test Track in Norfolk. They were looking for sponsors to support the project to pay for the kit car, bodywork and essential race wear costs.

We felt this was an excellent opportunity to support young people and their Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education. As the planet continues warming up due to our relentless use of fossil fuels, it's becoming ever more critical to find new, green ways of generating energy. We're not a large organisation, so supporting small initiatives that provide opportunities for future generations to learn and grow suits our goals and means perfectly.

We were pleased to agree to sponsor the team and recently heard they were successful at competing in the race on 25th June, coming 21st out of 38. What a fantastic achievement for the team's first foray into the world of motor racing!

They also won the best 'Portfolio' award, which the team created to document their incredible journey over the past year!

Well done to the Greenpower F24 Electric Car Club and Alderman Peel High School in Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, for creating an excellent opportunity for its students. You can see a few photos of the project, team and car below.
